OUR GOAL

We have partnered up with Gillian’s Place to help raise funds for this Local Women’s Shelter. This is a little bit about Gillian’s Place: Gillian’s Place is dedicated to providing a continuum of services for women and children who have experienced abuse in North and West Niagara. These essential services include 24-hour shelter and support, counselling, safety planning, emotional support, legal advice and transitional housing and assistance.

Women can access free and confidential services whether or not they live in the shelter. Gillian’s Place also works diligently to provide violence prevention education and to raise awareness on the issue of violence against women. 

Events such as these raise much-needed funds to support the work of Gillian’s Place, help to raise awareness on this often over-looked issue, and let the women and children of Niagara know that their community supports them in their journey to a life free from violence.
